Description
Rain Forest Pocket in the Monga National Park.
The "Monga" is located about 10-20 kilometres east of Braidwood and is on the seaward edge of the escarpment, part of the Great Dividing Range that runs up the eastern coast of Australia.
The escarpment causes a belt of higher rainfall, and coupled with the altitude (from 250 to 1000 metres), there are pockets of temperate rainforests.
Typically these pockets have a dense canopy cover from Plumwood and eucalyptus trees and lower level tree ferns.
This panorama is the result of several porttrait images stitched together.
