Sunrise from Blue Rag Trig Station in the Victorian High Country Australia.
This is a composite image after stitching several portrait pictures together.
The rays of sunlight have highlighted the numerous ridges to the south of Blue Rag Trig station.
Along each ridge the evidence of a huge wild bushfire that swept the area in early 2013 (summer). At stages the front of the fire extended for some 400 kilometres (say 250 miles).
The images were taken after driving along the 4WD firetrail and sleeping out at the summit.
